Fwd: Sunday March 28 "B" ride
I remind that type "B" means slower pace. Usually we all start together and then we split in 2 groups. Who wants to keep a slower pace for this Sunday sticks with me.
Weather is supposed to be Sunny and mid 50s-low 60s. So, yes, time to get out!
I am confident that the snow we may get over Fri night into Sat morning should melt by Sun morning, but of course I will make sure that roads are clean.
Meeting Time: 10:00 a.m. at Vic's
Route: Rabbit Mountain through 63rd north - St Vrain East - 75th N - Back from 36. (optional: if we feel social, we can stop by for coffee in Lyons)
2 short cuts: who wants slower pace and shorter route: Go back from Hygiene when we hit 75th N or keep going on CO 66 back from 36 when we take R turn for Rabbit Mountain.
Sorry ladies, for our lap tempo ride on Saturday. I don't think it is going to happen (20% chance of snow and low 40s).. If there is enough interest, I can try to reschedule it for Tuesday March 30th after work at 5:00 pm. So, let me know, otherwise I train over lunch time usually.

Saturday Ride (2/13)
This Saturday Pre - San Valentine Ride
Hello all,
Here we go, and it's my turn to lead, for this month, the "Type B" ride. Moved to Saturday, Feb 13 due to weather.
Weather is supposed to be partly cloudy - high low 40s.
I also remind that type B is for intensity not for length.
I just want to make very clear that I will be there ONLY if it's above freeze with clean roads.
Meet: 10:00 a.m. at Vic's
Length: 2.5- 3 hours
Route: Jay E - 75th S - Baseline E - Cherryvale S - Marshall (whoever wants to cut short can go back from here) - Eldorado Springs and back - up to Ncar and back from Baseline and 9th (if your valentine is not waiting, you can stop with me and get lunch at Bacaro or coffee at Amante on Walnut St. Yeah, let's stroll through downtown.
Let's pray for decent weather and I hope to see many of you there

"Little" Former Swiftie Wins Nats
Michael won the Junior Men's 13-14 National Championship road race two days ago, here in Bend Oregon. We are super happy and proud of him. It was super hot(95 degrees) and a tough and hilly 40 km (25 mile) course (7 laps of a 5 km circuit plus 2.5 km in and out to the circuit). From the 60 starters 7 boys formed a group about half way through, and Michael said that he could tell he was probably the strongest of these 7. On the 2.5 km back to the finish they shed 4 riders and then 1 more, so Michael was left with a 2 up sprint for the line. Michael won this handily, giving him lots of time to celebrate before the line.
Here are a few pics from the race. More can be found at my facebook page:
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=21014&id=1615523308&saved#/album.php?aid=21014&id=1615523308&ref=nf
And many more of Michael and the team at the Slipstream facebook page:

The time trial is tomorrow, and criterium Saturday.
Cheers,
Dan

Swift Big Ride Week - July 6 to July 10
Al got a week off of work mentioned doing a Big Ride from Monday July 6 to Friday July 10. I think I'm in. I think Sharon is in. More the Merrier.
It would be either self support or Van support with people taking turns driving. If Van support, we will do camping along the way. I vote for Van support as we can bring more food and drinks!
Pace - Whatever you want. Will have regroups and stops at stores.
Cost - Cheap! Spend money on food, drink and bike stuff.
Open to All - email Al or Me if interested.
Route? 5 Day Idea #1... Depending on Camping/Lodging locations...
1. Colorado City to Wetmore - 43 Miles - (so around 38 to Chrisplip place) - Lots of Climbing. Or Start/Finish in Wetmore with out and back route.
2. Wetmore to Salida - ~ 75 Miles - Minor Climbing - 24 Miles on US 50. I think has a small shoulder by river.
3. Salida to Saguache (46 Miles) to Campground near North Pass ~70 Miles - Medium Climbing
4. Campground near of North Pass to Gunny ~80 Miles - One Climb over North Pass, then down to Gunny.
5. Gunny to Buena Vista - 67 Miles - Climbing!!! - (Then 2.5 hour drive home)
Approx - 335 Miles - Minus car shuttle miles. Could increase depending on actual camping locations.
Friday Happy Hour; Saturday MTB Ride
Sunday, 6/21 - "Girlfriend" ride to Ward...a truly Not so Swift Ride

Bismark Loop + Ncar (short option : Loop back when we get to Marshall)
or Carter Lake if windy (shorter route : small box)
Note: Since Meeting notes have not been sent out yet, I just briefly explain that we decided to hold
2 types of rides on Sundays. They are not divided by gender rather by Cycling Ability, mainly PACE
Type "A" for faster pace to meet needs and expectation of riders who are stronger, faster and train to compete
Type "B" for moderate pace (16-20 mph) yet long ride: it will always be provided options for shorter route.
I always hope to see many of you ....
