Fwd: Sunday B Ride

Hello all,

I am willing to lead a "B" ride for this Sunday March 1.
 Vic's at 10:00 a.m.
Duration: 4 hours (I always give options for shorter route)

Route: According to the wind and actual temperature:
Bismark Loop + Ncar (short option : Loop back when we get to Marshall)
or Carter Lake if windy (shorter route : small box)

Note: Since Meeting notes have not been sent out yet, I just briefly explain that we decided to hold
2 types of rides on Sundays. They are not divided by gender rather by Cycling Ability, mainly PACE
Type "A" for faster pace to meet needs and expectation of riders who are stronger, faster and train to compete
Type "B" for moderate pace (16-20 mph) yet long ride: it will always be provided options for shorter route.

I always hope to see many of you ....

 Ciao
 Luisa

Moab Swift Trip Weekend

I'm starting to plan a Moab Trip weekend.  We have had 3 to 12 people in the past going out for a long weekend.  Usually Road Riding but can do lots of Mountain Biking, Hiking & Sight Seeing also.
  • Housing - Rent Condo (or Camp?)
  • Dates - Either Apirl 3-5 weekend or April 10-12 (Easter weekend so may be busy).
  • Road Riding -
    • La Sal Mtn Loop - 62 Miles - 4K of climbing - 6 hours
    • Arches - 42 Miles or so - Long Hills - 4 hours - Can shorten.
    • Potash Road - 25 Miles Flat
    • Colorado River Road - Best on Friday or Monday morning. Out and back.  Twisty Hilly.
  • Mountain Biking - Lots!!!
  • Hiking/Sight Seeing - Lots of options if sig other doesn't ride.
  • Weather - Usually cool, dry and breezy.  Seems like we get one wet day each year.
If interested let me know with your date preference.

Fwd: Track Class

(We have 3 Swifties certified and 2 more in classes this 6 weeks.)

Just an FYI - There are more spots open in the 6 & 8 pm Tuesday night "Intermediate" Classes.  If you can do our groups ride with echelons, you can do the Intermediate Class.  It's a 6 week class, you can still jump in on the second week. Free Rental Bikes with class.  Just bring measurements and pedals. Also classes on Thursday and Friday at 6:00 and weekends.
see http://boulderindoorcycling.com/ - Call them for more info. They are bad with email and updating website...

It's fun and indoors.  No wind, rain or snow!
