...after 21 minutes is what separated the top four placings in the Junior Men 13-14 Time Trial yesterday. Michael was fourth among them, for a podium placing! His teammate Dean got 7th, only 22 seconds back.
In hindsight he of course was bemoaning the numerous places where he could have picked up a fraction of a second, but that's racing. At least he knows he's among the strongest, and is looking to come out fighting for the crit today. This is likely to come down to a sprint - usually a strength for Michael, though the size of the top two guys on yesterday's podium is somewhat scary and who knows how good their sprints may be.
