i'm looking to do a 3hr ride friday (saturday roads will be crazy), medium speed.  maybe head out 36 and do the fruit loops followed by an Amante treat at the end.  maybe do old stage on the way back?

 how about Vics 30th at 745am for anyone interested.

Sunday 6/28 ride

Hi all, This is my proposal for this Sunday June 28 ride: I think the weather WON"T be too hot (in the 80s) to ride Rist Canyon Long option: Start at Vic's at 7:30 a.m. Short Option: Drive to Carter Lake - Meet and Start at Carter Lake (Marina's shop) at 9:30 a.m. Please, let me know if and which option you like to join, so I can plan accordingly. Thursday evening (6/24) MTB ride

I am going to do few laps at Betasso on Thursday evening. I'll ride up the canyon to the link trail, ride/push up that and then do some loops. Pace will be slow - my geared bike is out of commission, so I will be on a single speed. I will pass through Eben Fine Park at 5:30, so hang out at the west end of the park if you are interested.

Rain or thunderstorms - no ride.

Swift Big Ride Week - July 6 to July 10

Swift Big Ride Week - July 6 to July 10
Al got a week off of work mentioned doing a Big Ride from Monday July 6 to Friday July 10.  I think I'm in. I think Sharon is in.  More the Merrier.
It would be either self support or Van support with people taking turns driving.  If Van support, we will do camping along the way.  I vote for Van support as we can bring more food and drinks!
Pace - Whatever you want.  Will have regroups and stops at stores.
Cost - Cheap!  Spend money on food, drink and bike stuff.
 
Open to All - email Al or Me if interested. 

Route?  5 Day Idea #1...  Depending on Camping/Lodging locations...
1. Colorado City to Wetmore - 43 Miles - (so around 38 to Chrisplip place) - Lots of Climbing.  Or Start/Finish in Wetmore with out and back route.
2. Wetmore to Salida - ~ 75 Miles - Minor Climbing - 24 Miles on US 50.  I think has a small shoulder by river.
3. Salida to Saguache (46 Miles) to Campground near North Pass ~70 Miles - Medium Climbing
4. Campground near of North Pass to Gunny  ~80 Miles - One Climb over North Pass, then down to Gunny.
5. Gunny to Buena Vista - 67 Miles - Climbing!!! - (Then 2.5 hour drive home)
Approx - 335 Miles - Minus car shuttle miles.  Could increase depending on actual camping locations.

Friday Happy Hour; Saturday MTB Ride

Friday - 5/19 - Happy Hour - I'm think Boulder Beer on Wilderness Place off of Valmont

5ish till whenever.  RSVP so I can get a table.  We will celebrate the end of Spring and Spring Weather! 

 

Saturday - 5/20 - Mountain Bike Ride - Heading up to Nederland for West Mag and Dot Trails.  Leave around 9:00.  Send me an email and we can carpool up.

Sunshine Canyon Wednesday 6/17

anyone want to join me for a climbing ride on wednesday after work?  the mike horgan race is this weekend, so a little tune up is in order.  i'm thinking of doing sunshine canyon.   we can meet at the mt. sanitas trail area on mapleton at 6pm.

Saturday - 6/6 - Swift Rides

Road Ride - Hi all - weather looks good enough to try the Lyons to Ward ride.  I plan to leave Cafe Sole at 8:30 and swing by Vic's at 8:45.  It'll be a steady endurance ride for me, but mtn goats are welcome to yo-yo me on the way up.  See you Saturday!  Jeff
