Roadside cleanup: Who is this Sunday, the 4th or next Sunday, the 11th?

Hi,
 
I can do the cleanup either this Sunday, the 4th, or next Sunday, the 11th?  We can do it in the morning or afternoon, whichever works for the most people.  We need at least 6 people....
 
Please let me know your availability so we can have fun together picking up trash!  ;  )

Saturday Road Ride - 9:30

Pump up those skinny tires, it time to ride (before the next cold front comes in...)
Saturday - 10/19 - Vics - 9:30
Ride to Lyons and get a Muffin and Espresso.  Winter hammerheads can do a Fruit Loop while the rest of us relax.

Skills Clinic Delayed to Oct. 28

Sunday's weather looks like it is going to be cold and snow/rain.
So, Andrea and I are going to delay the Skills Clinic a Week to Oct. 28 at 10:00.
 
A few ideas of what we will go over...
  • Paceline / Pack - Skills and Group Riding Etiquette.  How to rotate off the front, signalling hazards, echelons, staying on shoulders.
  • A little bumping and rubbing - On grass at park
  • Cornering - Counter Steering, picking a line
  • ? - If you have questions let us know.

Fwd: REMINDER - Group riding clinic, 10/21, 9:00,

Just a reminder - Stephen and Andrea will be doing a group riding clinic on Sunday, 10/21.  Meet at Vics on 30th at 9:00.

This is a ride that is open to everyone.  They will be teaching the basics of riding in a group - riding close to other riders, riding in pacelines and echelons, etc.  This will not be a training session, but a chance to learn the basics (and not so basics) of riding on the road in a group. 

If you plan on showing up, please send me an e-mail so that I can get an idea of how many people we have.

Weekend MTB Ride & Adopt-A-Road

Saturday - Mountain Bike Ride
Meet at Vics at 9:00 or Heil Ranch at 9:30
Do a few loops of the Wild Turkey Trail
 
Sunday -
  • Road Ride - IF NICE WEATHER - 9:00 at Vics - 2 or so hours - Easy Pace
  • The Swift Cycling Adopt-a-Road Cleanup - Meet at Vics at 1 pm - Drive out to Nelson
The Swift Cycling Adopt-a-Road cleanup on on for October 14th, with tea and "other beverages" being offered immediately after at Donna's house.  The section of road will be the same as in the past, between about 47th to 63rd on Nelson Road.  We will plan to carpool from Vic's at 30th and Iris at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 14th.   Donna' house is in Niwot, close by.  She will send out directions separately.
